Python Job: Remunerated Remote Sensing Summer 2023 Internship

We are Introducing the 4th Edition of Remote Sensing Summer Internship from Spin.Works.

The internship is open to students or recent graduates who wish to join our Remote Sensing team during the summer period. This internship will be developed in a fully production environment and is focused on providing solutions for precision agriculture, using data obtained from drones and satellites.

The internship will involve data processing tasks, image classification and outputs preparation for final customers, specifically:

• Classification of multispectral images using machine learning technologies
• Preparation and harmonization of data using MAPP.it software
• Extraction of meaningful insights and other relevant agronomic indicators
• Data management and data products publication on MAPP.it application

Minimum qualifications

• University enrolment in a science or engineering programme
• Independent user of Microsoft Windows OS
• Attention to detail and focus on quality
• Good team working abilities

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge about Remote Sensing, Geospatial or GIS domains
• User of GIS applications and specific remote sensing libraries
• Initial experience with image classification
• Python knowledge

Internship conditions

• Duration: 1 July to 31 August 2023
• On-Site/Remote work
• Monthly remuneration corresponding to R&D Initiation Activities (BII) from FCT
